What pearsbott stores, why, for how long, and how to delete it.
See what the bot has saved about you any time: whisper it =mydata. Delete all of it with =forgetme.
In Twitch chats the bot has joined
- Chat logs (username and message) for
=logs, kept 30 days. Messages Twitch deletes, and messages from timed-out or banned users, are removed right away. Streamers can turn logging off. - Badges you’re wearing are kept only in the bot’s memory while it runs, for
=badgesand=vanity; they aren’t saved. Badge counts and ranks come from badgebase.de. (Older chatter records from earlier versions are removed after 365 days.) - Who was in chat (usernames sorted into mods, VIPs, bots and viewers) when someone uses
=chattersor=viewers, kept 7 days. Like Twitch’s own chatter list, only that channel’s streamer and bot mods and admins can open it. - Your color permission, only if you allow it for
=setcolor: Twitch’s permission to change your name color, stored encrypted and used only when you type=setcolor, or after each of your messages while you have=colorcycleturned on.=forgetmedeletes it and cancels it on Twitch. - Your follows permission, only if you allow it for
=myfollowage: Twitch’s permission to see which channels you follow, used only to answer=myfollowagefor you. It’s stored with your color permission, and=forgetmedeletes it and cancels it on Twitch. - Message counts per chatter per day in each channel (a number, never the message), for
=topchatters. Kept for all-time totals until you delete them. - Your time zone and city, only if you save them with
=setmytimezoneor=setmycity, for=mytimeand=myweather. For a city only its name and the city’s own map position are kept, never an address. If you’d rather not name a city, save just your state or country with=setmyregion: only its name and a few spots spread across it are kept. In a public chat the bot never says them back (unless a streamer chooses to share their own with=weatherpublic on): it answers “your city” and leaves the zone’s name out, and where it is a moderator it takes the message you typed out of chat. Whisper these commands to keep them fully private. Kept until you clear them (=setmycity clear,=setmytimezone clear) or use=forgetme. - Your language, only if you pick one with
=setlanguage: just the language, used to answer you in it. Replies in another language go through the free MyMemory translator (only the bot’s reply text, never your messages). Kept until you use=setlanguage clearor=forgetme. - A short note of what you told the AI, only from messages you sent to pearsbott (an @ or its name), so later chats feel familiar: lasting, harmless things like the games you play or what you main, at most 250 characters per channel. Never health, location, age, real names, contact details or anything private, and never chat that wasn’t to the bot. It’s deleted after 60 days without talking to the bot, and any time with
=forgetme. Ask pearsbott what it remembers about you and it will tell you. - Your Last.fm username, only if you link it with
=setlastfm, so=songcan show what you’re listening to. Anyone can see your song with=song yournameonce it’s linked. Kept until you use=setlastfm offor=forgetme. - Your birthday, only if you save it with
=setbirthday: just the month and day, never the year, and the year you were last wished so it only happens once. It’s used for one whisper on the day and nothing else. Nobody else can look it up, the bot only says the date back in a whisper, and where it is a moderator it takes the message you typed out of chat. Kept until you use=setbirthday clearor=forgetme. - Reminders (
=remind): the text, who left it and for whom, until it’s delivered (then deleted) or after 60 days. People who used=forgetmecan’t be sent reminders. - Drop pings (
=pingme): your username for each channel and kind of drop you asked to be pinged for, until you turn it off. - Pear points: your balance in each channel where you have some.
- In the bot’s memory only (never saved, gone on restart): the names of people who chatted in the last 3 hours, so the AI knows who a nickname someone types means; each chatter’s latest guessed chat app for
=device; your last few AI questions (15 minutes). - Clash Royale, only in channels where the streamer turns it on: the player tags they link (public game data), and those accounts’ recent battles for 14 days: results, both decks, and each opponent’s in-game Clash Royale name and tag (public in the game’s battle logs), so the bot can recognize who the streamer played. Deleted after 14 days.
- Activity log for the bot owner, 90 days: commands bot mods and admins run, settings changed, and commands the AI ran for them, with who and in which channel, plus commands that broke (which command and who ran it, to fix the bug). Viewers’ everyday commands that work aren’t in it.
- Custom commands, bot moderators, admins and settings that streamers create.
On this website
- One sign-in cookie (
pears_session), only after you sign in with Twitch. It holds your Twitch id and name, is signed so it can’t be faked, and expires after 30 days. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. - If you add the bot to your channel, the Twitch permission you grant is stored encrypted, only to change your title and category when your mods ask. Remove it any time in Twitch → Settings → Connections.
Other services
Commands look up public data from Twitch, 7TV, FrankerFaceZ, Chatterino, BetterTTV, roles.tv, BadgeBase, Last.fm, Open-Meteo and Wikimedia Commons. Sports questions go to MLB’s Stats API, balldontlie, football-data.org and Sleeper, which are sent only the league, team or player name asked about, never who asked. For weather, Open-Meteo is sent only map positions, never who asked; for a state or country, OpenStreetMap is sent only the name typed. Clash Royale data comes from Supercell’s official API through RoyaleAPI, which are sent only player and clan tags. The chat overlay runs in the streamer’s broadcast software and loads public chat and badge data from those services directly. See credits & licenses.
AI answers: when you use =ask, @ the bot, or reply to one of its messages, your question (with your display name, the channel name, and the message you replied to) is sent to Google’s Gemini (the paid API, under which Google doesn’t use questions to improve its products) to write the answer, along with public stream info such as the game and title. To answer “who is…” questions, the bot looks up public facts on Twitch, Wikipedia, Wikidata and YouTube (it sends them only the name being asked about). Don’t include personal information in questions. So follow-up questions make sense, the bot remembers your last few questions in that channel for 15 minutes, in memory only (never saved);=forgetme clears it.
Delete your data
Type =forgetme in any chat with the bot, whisper it to the bot, or sign in and press Delete my data on your dashboard. This removes your chat logs, any chatter record, your message counts, your suggestions, any who-was-in-chat list that names you, your pear points, your saved city, time zone, language and birthday, your color cycle, your drop pings, and reminders you left or that were waiting for you, everywhere. After that the bot saves nothing new about you (commands still work) until you type =comeback, which starts you fresh. Streamers: press Part to remove the bot from your chat.
